Immunizations
Appointments preferred, offered anytime office is open.
The department uses HEW,
an electronic billing clearinghouse to submit vaccination insurance claims. Clients
are responsible to pay for any charges not covered by their insurance. VFC vaccine
for eligible clients is available. Medicare is accepted for adult vaccinations for
those eligible.
The PH nurse maintains all the school IZ records as well as the
PHDS/WIZRD database.
CNA Program
The PH Department offers in-home visits to clients, providing blood pressure checks, pulse oximetry checks, monitoring and reordering medication, general physical assessment, dressing changes, assistance with bathing and other personal needs as necessary and limited errands. We also have a limited supply of medical equipment to loan. We hold public blood pressure clinics in Circle, Vida and Brockway monthly. Clients are referred by either the PH Nurse or PA-C. There is no charge for services. The client roster is 50-60 at any given time.
